ARGENTINA - BRAZIL - PERU AND ECUADOR - 19 Days

DAY 01 BUENOS AIRES (Argentina)

Arrival to Ezeiza international airport, welcome and transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon panoramic tour of Buenos Aires: “Plaza de Mayo”, the Government Palace (Pink House), the Cathedral, the City Hall, San Telmo, -where the city was born 425 years ago-, Puerto Madero, neighborhood recovered from the 19th century and which has became the most exclusive residential area today; la Boca, where tango was born, Recoleta, the high class residential area and Palermo, with wonderful parks and avenues. Overnight.

DAY 02 BUENOS AIRES

Morning excursion to El Tigre. Bus transportation to Maipu terminal station next to the Presidential Residence. Take the famous Coastline train, ultimate generation train which connects the most elegant residential areas facing the River Plate. Arriving at Delta station, board a catamaran boat to discover the wonders of the Parana River and the thousands of islands and islets crisscrossed by rivers and brooks. Afternoon at leisure.Dinner at Indian Restaurant "Katmandu" (Optional tango Show). Overnight. (B).

DAY 03 BUENOS AIRES

Full day Gaucho Party tour at the countryside. Arrive to an “Estancia” (Ranch) for a “Gaucho” (cowboy) experience. Barbecue (vegetarian food available upon request), wine, popular singing and dancing show, will give visitors an idea about the Gaucho daily life, horse races, etc. Return to BuenosAires in the late afternoon. Overnight. (B, L).

DAY 04 BUENOS AIRES IGUAZÚ / FOZ DO IGUAÇU (Argentina / Brazil)

Transfer to local airport to board the flight to Iguazu. Arrival, reception and immediate visit of the Falls National Park in the Argentinean side, including the Devil's Throat. The tour ends at the selected hotel in the Brazilian side. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight. (B).

DAY 05 FOZ DO IGUAÇU


Leave for morning visit to the Brazilian side of the falls with time for walking along the pathways. Balance of the day at leisure.

Optional by night: dinner and pocket Latin show at “Rafain Cataratas” barbecue restaurant. Overnight. (B).

DAY 06 FOZ DO IGUAÇU / RIO DE JANEIRO

Morning at leisure for last minute activities or relax by the pool.

Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival transfer to the selected hotel. Overnight. (B).

DAY 07 RIO DE JANEIRO

Morning tour to the Corcovado, located at Floresta da Tijuca. From the Cristo Redentor statue enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then visit the Botanical Garden and the south district beaches.Afternoon at leisure. Overnight. (B).

DAY 08 RIO DE JANEIRO

Morning city tour including the Sugar Loaf. Visit to the famous soccer stadium, Maracanan and historical downtown. Arrive at Urca neighborhood and embark in the cable-car up to the “Pan deAzucar”. Nice view of the city and mountains chain. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight. (B).

DAY 09 RIO DE JANEIRO / LIMA (Brazil / Peru)

Time at leisure until the departure for the airport to board the outbound flight. Arrive in Lima and transfer to selected hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight. (B)

DAY 10 LIMA / CUSCO

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival transfer to selected hotel. Rest of the morning at leisure.

Afternoon city tour including: the Koricancha Temple or Temple of the Sun, the Cathedral, the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Inca bath of Tambomachay, the labyrinth of Puca Pucara and the amphitheatre of Kenko. Overnight. (B).

DAY 11 CUSCO / Urubamba /CUSCO

Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of Urubamba to visit the village of Pisac and its colorful market where artisans from the area congregate to sell their crafts. Then on to Ollantaytambo, fortress built during the Inca Empire; visit the ruins excellent example of military architecture. Overnight. (B)

DAY12 CUSCO / Machu Picchu / CUSCO

Early transfer to the station on time to catch the train to Machu Picchu, citadel hidden in the exuberant vegetation of the jungle from the Spanish expansion and discovered only in 1911 by the American Hiram BIngham. After 3 hours train ride arrive to Aguas Calientes and bus transportation to the entrance of the ruins where the guided tour of the Lost City will start. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Cusco. Overnight. (B, L)

DAY 13 CUSCO / LIMA

Transfer to the airport for the flight backSouth Amercia Lima  Peru to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon 3-hour city tour including the historical center of Lima: the Government Palace, the City Hall and the Cathedral at Plaza Mayor. Visit the Art Museum at the Cathedral and the 17th century Convent of San Francisco.

Before returning to the hotel short tour of the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. Overnight. (B)

DAY 14 LIMA / QUITO (Ecuador)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Quito.

Upon arrival transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon  panoramic tour of centre town declared by  Unesco a World Heritage site in 1978  Pass by the Alameda Park and the Basilica followed by a  walk down the street of the  Seven Crosses to the Independence  Square  where the presidential palace is located as well as the Cathedral, La  Compañia Church and San Francisco Church Overnight (B)

DAY15 QUITO/ Cotopaxi /BAÑOS

Early departure by car heading south through the famous “Avenue of the Volcanoes” to Cotopaxi National Park. The Cotopaxi volcano is one of the most important landmarks in Ecuador, being the highest active volcano in the world. Then on to the village of Baños located at the foot of Tungurahua volcano which provides wonderful hot springs. Before arriving visit the Salasaca Indian community. Overnight at selected hotel (B)

DAY 16 BAÑOS / RIOBAMBA

Departure to Riobamba passing through Ambato and Chimborazo's National Park on the way to Guaranda. Visit El Arenal to see local vicuñas and continue on to the shelter for a beautiful panoramic view. Early afternoon arrive to Riobamba and after checking-in short walk through the city. Overnight (B)

DAY 17 RIOBAMBA / CUENCA

After breakfast head off to Alausi to board the famous train to “The Devil's Nose” . Four-hour train ride returning to Alausi mid-afternoon. (train runs on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday only). Then continue by car to Cuenca visiting en route Ingapirca fortress located at 3100 masl and considered the most important Inca ruins in Ecuador. Early evening arrive to Cuenca and to selected hotel. Overnight (B)

DAY 18 CUENCA / GUAYAQUIL

Morning  city tour of Cuenca including a walk  to the flower market,the Cathedral, the Calderon Park, La Merced church and convent among other attractions. Early afternoon departure by  private  transportation to Guayaquil. Overnight at selected hotel   (B)



DAY 19 GUAYAQUIL / HOMEBOUND or extensions

Transfer to the airport on time for the international flight back home or continue with an optional extension to Galapagos.
